Act like a CEO
Reverse Engineer Your Goals
Do you know how to reverse engineer your income goals? It is important in this business that we not only are passionate about our fitness goals and paying it forward by helping others succeed and see the VALUE in the products... but to also be mini CEOs of our own company.
Beachbody IS NOT our boss.
Carl Daikeler IS NOT our boss.
Your upline coach IS NOT your boss.
You signed a contract to own your very own business. Imagine that Beachbody was a mall... a big amazing modern mall that only sold Shakeology at the food court (lol imagine that!!) and each shop inside that mall was independently owned by us, the coaches. Beachbody owns the building but WE own the store and can choose how to run it (within the mall guidelines) and how much work we want to put into our store.
All of a sudden it makes sense right?
So if you actually owned a store in the mall of Beachbody... how would you want it to look? What would you want the customers to see when they walk in the door? How would your customer service be? Would you do outreach to get your name out there? Would you bust your booty to make sure you had the NICEST and most amazing store in the mall?
Of course you would! You wouldn't want the dirty store that barely had quality merchandise on the shelves. You want to be Michael Kors.... not Forever 21. (as much as I love Forever 21, I'd rather go to Michael Kors lol!)
So when it comes to your Beachbody business, why would you leave out the important piece of the puzzle of being a business savvy CEO? We don't get into this business to crunch numbers and thing of the business end of things, but in reality, the ones who are conscious of their business and how it operates are the ones who will succeed and grow much faster.
This is where the leaders start to rise from the ashes.
So here is my lesson for the day in being a CEO of your own business.... be aware of everything that is going on, and set goals for yourself. Just like a mall business would set yearly earning goals, you need to set money goals as well. It is OKAY to think about making money when it comes to Beachbody, it might be a little taboo to discuss because we all want to believe that we are in this just to help people, but the truth is, you can make a lot of cash doing this, and doing it well.
First tip....
check your COO and your Drilldown OFTEN! Do not skimp on this detail! Be aware of what is happening in your business? Would you hire some employees to work at your mall store and never call to check in or check the numbers for the day? Of course not, that's being a bad leader. Also, you would make sure that your employees are staying on task, are learning constantly, and growing. (talking about being a boss vs a leader is a completely different conversation, so for the sake of this post, just go with it!)
How do I log into my COO and see my Drilldown?
Log into teachbeachbody.com.... click Coach Online Office.... Hover over My Business... down to My Team... down to Drilldown
This is your eyes and ears of your team. This is where you will see everyone's volume, success club points, rank, and active status.
I check this every single day for multiple reasons....

I check this every single day for multiple reasons....
- Who is close to getting Success Club? Who has Success Club locked in this month?
- Are my coaches Active or projecting to be Inactive soon?
- Who is rocking it in volume? Who has been struggling the past few weeks?
- Is there anyone who might lose rank this week?
- Is there anyone who is close to ranking up this week?
- Are my new coaches placed on the correct leg? (you have 72 hours after sign up to place them where you want)
These are all questions a leader asks themselves when looking at the Drilldown. I can ask and answer those questions then put action steps into place on how I will help my team. My time can be divided where it needs to be and I'm not hunting anyone down for information.
So let's move onto EARNING POTENTIAL!
Another important part of being a leader is setting goals for yourself. We are pretty good at setting fitness goals, because that is probably why you initially joined... you either wanted to get good results from a program or already go amazing results and want to share it.
You then have to shift your focus to setting income goals for yourself. Again, it is OKAY to do this and you should be doing it. Your business relies on you being business minded and savvy.
Where do you start?
First.... watch the video no team cycle bonuses because it will answer a lot of questions and allow the next graphic to make tons of sense!!!!
Seriously this video is SO CUTE but spells it out way better than I could ever explain.
Because math is hard y'all!!!!
Next step in setting your goal.... how much do you want to make in team cycle bonus each week??
Here is a graphic to help you with a few "getting started" benchmarks:
This graphic shows income based on team cycle bonus only... it does not include what you may make in personal commissions or fast track bonuses.
Set a goal for yourself, "I want to make $500 a week" and understand what that can do for you and your family. Write down where you need to be, those minimum benchmarks posted above, and strive for it. What do you have to do to create a team that will reach those numbers? As the leader and the CEO of your mini store in the Beachbody mall what effort and sacrifices will you make in order to get there? I like to think of the commissions as the icing on the cake on top of those cycle bonuses.
One step further....
The numbers in this example show how many coaches you need bringing in 90pv every week (this is why it is so important to have coaches on HD) to meet those numbers.
Keep in mind, every coach works differently and may bring in MORE or LESS than 90 pv every week. So this is just an example for how many coaches you need on your team working *part time* to meet your income goals.
Congrats.... you are now THINKING LIKE A LEADER! and are well on your way to having the top performing store in the Mall of Beachbody!!!
Now go to the food court and get yourself a shake!!! xoxoxo
